Program Cost Structure

Franklin Youth Girls Basketball prides itself on its ability to keep costs low for its families.  We try to keep our costs reasonable relative to other youth activities, and comparable to our local school districts.  Our hope is that our program is affordable for all families interested in participating.  Additionally, as a non-profit independent 501 (c)(3) organization – all money collected is invested directly back into the program to fund league dues, tournament fees, uniforms, equipment, ball bags, gym times, and supplemental player insurance.

Player fees for a season will vary by player / team, and will be dependent on factors such as the number of tournaments a team signs up for, if the team chooses to play in a summer league, or if a player needs a new uniform.  It is common for player fees to range anywhere from $200 – $450 (with families having the ability to earn back up to $100 by selling raffle tickets for the fundraiser).

Player fees collected (in combination with the proceeds earned through the program’s annual fundraiser), will be used to cover things such as:

  • Reversible uniform (with name embroidered on the back)
  • Pre-game warm up shirt (with name embroidered on the back)
  • Reversible practice jersey (with number)
  • Backpack (with name embroidered)
  • League fees for winter and summer
  • Tournament entry fees
  • Additional gym space + practice equipment
  • Supplemental player / team insurance
  • Raffle Tickets for Annual Fundraiser
